This week we discussed what makes a documentary, the official building blocks. We looked at sound and how the sound design can completely change the view of a documentary. We watched Portland (Great Snider, 1996), The March (Abraham Revett, 1999) and The Beaver Trilogy.
What formal strategies does Portland (Greta Snider, 1996) use to reconstruct and event?
Portland uses both Interviews with the people that went on the trip and original footage. It is mostly interviews due to most of the original footage being lost.
